About Daniel
Captain Daniel Obukohwo Nisharume is an accomplished Unlimited Master Mariner with over 20 years of maritime and offshore experience across global waters. His career spans leadership roles in offshore wind projects, anchor handling, dredging, pipelaying, heavy-lift operations, and jack-up campaigns for leading international clients.
Daniel has served as a Ship Master, Marine Superintendent, and Marine Warranty Surveyor, bringing an exceptional command of marine operations, vessel management, and offshore safety systems. His expertise covers compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and SOLAS standards, ensuring every operation upholds the highest level of safety, efficiency, and regulatory integrity.
He is a member of the Society of Offshore Marine Warranty Surveyors (SOMWS), Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the Honourable Company of Master Mariners (UK), and an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute. Daniel’s academic background includes two Master’s degrees — in Maritime Operations Management from Liverpool John Moores University and Marine Surveying from Middlesex University — along with advanced certifications from respected maritime institutions in the UK, India, and Ghana.
Currently, Daniel continues to provide high-level consultancy and project supervision across the oil & gas, renewable energy, shipping, and port management sectors, where his technical insight, leadership, and commitment to operational excellence continue to drive success.
