Same-Day Sick Appointments
We know how worrying it can be when your child is sick, and we’re here to provide care and reassurance as quickly as possible. We do our best to schedule same-day appointments so your little one can feel better without delay.
For the smoothest experience, try to call early in the morning—this helps us minimize your wait time and get your child seen promptly. Our compassionate Triage Nurses are also available by phone to answer questions and guide you through the following steps.
After hours, you can reach our Nurse Line at 806-353-7900. And of course, in any medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.
At TLC Pediatrics, we’re committed to caring for your child with warmth, expertise, and attention every step of the way.
Well-Child Visits
Preventive care is an essential part of keeping your child healthy and happy. Regular well-child visits give us the opportunity to monitor your child’s growth and development, catch potential health issues early, and ensure they are thriving at every stage.
During these visits, we focus on:
- Immunizations to protect against illness
- Routine screening tests and growth evaluations
- Guidance on nutrition, safety, behavior, and healthy habits
- Open discussions about any questions or concerns you may have
Well-child visits are more than just checkups—they are a time for partnership. We want to work with you to support your child’s health, answer your questions, and provide the reassurance and guidance every parent deserves.

Walk-Ins
To provide the best care and minimize wait times for all families, our office does not accept walk-in appointments. We kindly ask that you call ahead to schedule a visit for your child.
We understand that your child’s health can’t always wait, so we do our very best to accommodate same-day appointments whenever possible. By calling first, we can ensure your child is seen promptly and that every patient receives the attention and care they deserve.
Emergencies
Your child’s safety is our top priority. In the event of a life-threatening emergency—such as loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, difficulty breathing, or a seizure—please call 911 immediately.
For minor emergencies, like small cuts, scrapes, or lacerations, these can often be treated in our office. If needed, we may also direct you to your nearest emergency room or urgent care center.
For any other concerns or guidance, please don’t hesitate to call our office at 806-353-7900. Our team is here to provide support, advice, and reassurance whenever you need it.

Insurance
At TLC Pediatrics, we file claims with most insurance carriers and participate with the majority of plans in our area, including private insurance, HMO, and PPO plans. Some examples include Alliance Network, Aetna, BSA Network, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, FirstCare, Blue Choice, Cigna, IMS, UnitedHealth, and UnitedHealthcare.
Before your visit, we recommend checking with both our office and your insurance company to confirm coverage. Please bring your insurance card with you to every appointment.
If we file your claim, you are responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance at the time of service. If we are not a provider for your insurance, if you are uninsured, or if your plan requires you to file claims yourself, payment in full may be required at the time of service.
Inclement Weather
Your child’s safety is our top priority. In the event of inclement weather, please call our office for the latest information on closings or delayed openings.
If there is a delayed opening, our answering service will provide the most up-to-date details. We also encourage you to check our website or social media channels for real-time updates in the event of severe weather.
